Learning how to conserve

Tel Akko Total Archaeology Project American university students from the US and China join high school students from Akko at the International Conservation Center (https://conservationcenter.org.il/ ) to learn some of the conservation techniques required to restore the Ottoman and Crusader walls in the protected UNESCO World Heritage site of Acre. Salim taught them to cut stones to fit and Dana demonstrated how to mix different colors to match the ancient mortar.

About jennie
I'm the irritating person who's always there with a camera - wanting an interview, asking silly questions and getting in the way of the serious archaeology. I'm an author, a publisher (Fernro Publishing), an ex-advertising agency owner and Creative Director, a mother and a grandmother. I only do things I really want to do now - building Tel Akko's website with you was one of them.
