Ross is studying Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies and Security Risk Analysis at Penn State University. His unending passion of both Ottomans and Phoenicians has led him to Akko, as well his interest in maritime archaeology.

I’m 20 years old and from Northern Virginia. I’m a junior at the Pennsylvania State University and majoring in Political Science with a double minor in Economics and Global Security.

Dylan is studying Classics and Mathematics at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. His love of Ancient Greek culture has inspired a new interest in exported Greek pottery, especially stamped amphora handles.

I am 20 years old, and originally from Norwood Mass. I am also a rising junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying Geology and Geoarchaeolgy with a minor in anthropology.

I am currently studying at the University of Chicago, working on an M.A. in Middle East Studies. I am interested in Islamic archaeology, as well as the politics of archaeology and the applications of spatial technologies to archaeological research.

Cassidy Ross is a Div III student at Hampshire college. Her focus is archaeology.

I am 19 years old and I am from Arlington, VA. I attend the University of Rochester, where I plan on majoring in Financial Economics and Health Policy with a minor in classics.

I’m a Junior double majoring in Geosciences B.S. and Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies B.A. while also receiving minors in International Studies and Jewish Studies. Thus far, I have studied abroad in Italy, Israel, Mexico, and Greece. I hope to be able to use Geochemical analysis on archaeological excavations in the future, and am looking into completing an IUG program at Penn State.

I am currently a Master’s student at Penn State University, and am studying the quantification, production, distribution, and sourcing of iron slag and artifacts found on the tell. Besides the archaeometallurgy of the Persian period at Tell Akko, my other archaeological interests include human osteology and Roman Provincial archaeology.
